(More customer reviews)Since the price of double-layer recordable DVDs seem to continue to fall, (this particular package already costs $1 than when I ordered it a few weeks ago) it makes sense to use these disks as the default writable storage solution. Yes, the blue-ray writers are here, but blue-ray players and blue-ray computer ROMs are still far from ubiquitous, and not to mention lack of Mac support. These disks worked well on all of my computers, both Windows machines and Macs. However, two of the disks failed, which is makes these disks far from perfect, but still quite acceptable for most purposes. I have used them for archiving of files and for creating playable video DVDs, and for both of those purposes DVDs performed adequately. Even my old and very limited DVD players were able to instantly recognize video DVDs.
These DVDs are not sold directly by Amazon, but by one of their affiliates. This increases the price of shipping and handling, so you should take that into the account when deciding on the total price of these DVDs. The shipping was very prompt though, and I got the package two days after placing my order. Overall, I have been fairly satisfied with both the DVDs and my shopping experience.
