(More customer reviews)We were in the market for a cheap portable DVD player for long car rides with the kids, and this one has done pretty well for the most part.
Pros:
- Easy to use: the controls and remote are easy to use and understand.
- Comes with both AC and DC power adapters
- The rotating screen works well.We rest the player on the console of the car and let the screen face the back seat.
- The player performs decently on bumpy roads and doesn't freeze or skip.
- An internal battery lets the DVD player run for a few hours.
- The carry case is designed to be hung over the seat head rest.
Cons:
- For car rides, headphones or a connection to the car stereo's AUX input is necessary.The speakers aren't loud enough to overcome road noise.
- The picture isn't top-notch (a little grainy and the colors aren't incredibly crisp), but we knew this thing wouldn't be anywhere near 1080p.
Bottom Line: It's a cheap 9" portable DVD player that won't turn heads but lived up to our expectations.
