(More customer reviews)I use these daily in a Philips DVD recorder, taking them out to rip shows for saving on my computer. They are in and out and erased constantly and even with all this abuse, I have not had a single failure. I simply choose to replace them after a few months when I notice I've scratched them up a bit from all the 'in and out'.
Recently I could not find my usual 2-pack at a local store so I tried the Maxell equivalent. Big mistake. They were making horrible clicking and squeaking noises during recording and freezing up during playback. I feared I'd harmed my recorder until I bought a 10-pack of these Sonys and everything was smooth again.
