To use this DVD-RW as a data disk, you'll have to format it first.I used Roxio's Easy CD Creator 5 Direct CD Format Utility.After formatting, the disk holds between 5.4 and 5.5 GB.I'm not sure DVD-RWs will render other removable media obsolete, as write-times are not what you get on hard drives or Iomega disks, but when you consider portability and physical storage space, this solution is pretty hard to beat.
