I decided to get it despite the two-star review.For about only $3 if it didn't work, I didn't waste a lot of money.
I got it as my son loaned someone three music CD's and the person didn't take care of them. They were returned and all of them were skipping so bad, they were basically ruined.
My daughter had also loaned several games to the same person and the same thing happened.The person didn't take care of them either and the games weren't playing.
We got the kit in the mail and my 14 yr. old son and my 12 yr. old daughter read the instructions and proceeded to try and fix the CD's and games.
All of them were fixed, 100%.It was a simple, easy-to-use product.Does what it says it does.It fixed even DEEP scratches.All three of the music CD's play fine as do both the games.Add it up to see how much money we saved.

Perhaps the kit was different several years ago.All I can say is that now it is what it says it is and it worked for us.We still have over 90 applications left too.
I highly recommend this product.If a 14 yr. old and 12 yr. old can use it, find it easy to use and it worked for them, I think it will work for you too!
